Description
This event is facilitated by Wounded Warriors, hosted by Come and Make It!, and sponsored by Girl with Grit and Urban Tree Company. Wounded Warriors has the mission to help our veterans with PTSD.
This class will be about basic woodworking and veterans will create a food-safe cutting board using domestic wood with live edges. Topics include education about basic wood variety, various tools (router, jigsaw, etc.), finishing, food grade qualities, and more. Taught by Girl With Grit.
Donations go to the purchase of additional sanders, routers, and jigsaws. It will also fund sandpaper, stains, tools, oils, rags, and a complimentary refreshment spread for our veterans.
